Angler of The Year – Points System

For the 2026 season, we are introducing a points-based system for the Angler of the Year. The angler with the most points at the end of all 8 tournaments will receive $1000, sponsored by Fishing Fever Tackle! In case of a tie, the winner will be determined by who accumulated the most weight between those individuals in the tournaments.

How to Receive Points

	Points Received
1st place in an hour	40
2nd place in an hour	30
3rd place in an hour	20
Fishing in a tournament and not getting top 3 in any hour	10

If you place in multiple hours, you will receive the appropriate points for each hour.

Example scenarios:
For a 1st and 3rd, the angler’s total will be 60 points
For 2 1st place hours, the angler’s total will be 80 points
For not placing any hours, the angler’s total will be 10 points
